The simulation outputs are usually saved in ".pro" files for the time resolved profiles and ".met" files for the meteorological data time series (see section Snowpack file formats). These files can be processed with some scripts, relying on GNU plot or R for generating graphs but are usually viewed with a graphical application such as the open source, online niViz application.

The niViz tool

This javascript application work in any sufficiently recent web browser ( firefox >= 33.0, Safari >= 5.1, Internet Explorer >= 11.0, Chrome >= 38). You can either use it online and then open your profile to visualize or you can download a pre-packaged version that can be installed for offline use on your computer.
